📰The NYC Yoga Studios Archive is a digital record of existence designed for the yoga studios that operated in NYC during the COVID-19 Pandemic Era. As a product of this research, now on exhibition is an interactive map of the NYC yoga studios that were mentioned in the news during the COVID-19 pandemic era. Each entry includes at least 1 link to media from local blogs like Greenpointers and TriBeCa Citizen; in addition to major publications like New York Magazine and The New York Times. Overall, 47 unique NYC yoga studios were mentioned in the news between March 2020-December 2022 in relation to the pandemic and at least 22 unique media articles were discovered!
📰HOW TO: All bibliography is listed for this map below. This map functions on Google Maps for mobile but it is best enjoyed on a desktop browser. Included in each entry are full citations with dates the articles were published, their authors and a link to the entry on the digital archive map hosted on Omeka (The map on Omeka is the primary product of this project).
